Emergency Relief

Our Emergency Relief is available for all families and individuals living in the City of Knox and those that are homeless.   

Pop into our Emergency Relief Centre (136 Boronia Road, Boronia) or give us a call (Ph: 9761 1325) for a non-judgemental, confidential chat.

Through our Emergency Relief service we can provide:

  • Food relief (including fresh fruit, vegetables, meat)
  • Food Parcels tailored for homeless people
  • Pet food
  • Mail holding service
  • Shower Program
  • Personal Packs
  • Hair cuts (during breakfast)
  • Prescription Vouchers
  • Transport Assistance
  • Energy Assistance and Advocacy
  • No Interest Loan applications
  • Tax Help (July to October)
  • Short term case work
  • Educational Assistance
  • Digital equality and tech advice
  • Information and referral to other local support services (as relevant)
  • Out of hours food pantry (coming soon)

Feel free to turn up or call anytime between 10am and 3pm, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

 No appointments necessary.

Our services are available to all Knox City community members. You DO NOT need to be on any form of concession or health care card to access support. For privacy purposes only we do request that you bring some form of ID.

Knox Infolink coordinates the Knox Emergency Relief Network (KERN).
